These systems aim to detect fires at their incipient stage and to bring them under control either by reducing the oxygen level in the environment below the critical threshold or by chemically interrupting the combustion reaction.
Operating Principle
Gas extinguishing systems are activated in line with the signals from fire detection and warning systems. When the delay period determined after detection is completed, the gas cylinders are opened and the extinguishing agent is discharged into the protected volume in a controlled manner. This process is designed in accordance with EN and NFPA standards.ishing systems are activated in line with the signals from fire detection and warning systems. Types of Gases Used
Depending on the nature of the area to be protected, different extinguishing agents are preferred:
FM-200 (HFC-227ea): Fast effect time, compatibility with electronic equipment
NOVEC 1230: Low environmental impact, human-safe composition
CO₂: High extinguishing capacity for industrial and uninhabited areas
Inert Gases (IG-541, IG-55, IG-100): Extinguishing by controlled reduction of oxygenCO₂: High extinguishing capacity for industrial and uninhabited areas
